What I do
My overarching focus is to increase the function of the whole system. What does that mean? Well, if the nervous system and the muscular system talk with each other, beautiful things can happen. But in my experience, many people workout with this connection weak. This can lead to delayed results, and even worse is the greatly increased potential for injury.
I specialize in corrective exercise and rehabilitation, but also work with weight-loss, nutrition, sports performance, strength, balance, mobility and core stabilization.
How I Do It
Whether it is skill level, knowledge base, medical history, or base strength, every body is different. That is why I always start with an intro workout I use to assess where we should start on the journey towards improved health. This step is so important to avoid any frustrations of workouts being too hard or, even worse, too easy. By starting in a sweet spot of challenge, we can quickly progress movements to the more 'fun stuff' in a safe and ego boosting way.
I make sure clients know exactly where they are in their progression towards their goals by doing regular check ups on skills, and measure satisfaction by measuring the results they desire. I also provide a wealth of information related to their current stage of health development, and assign homework to not only accelerate them toward their goals, but to help spread a message of health to their friends and families.
Where I Do It
Most clients chose to come to my private facility in South Bay Los Angeles with private parking, and a full array of weights and exercise toys of all kinds. However, I do realize that many people have busy lives and enjoy the convenience of their workout being in their home or a facility of their choice. For those clients, I bring all the necessary equipment needed for the workout, taking all the hassle out of their fitness needs.
